In this work, the staircase, the illuminated window, and the small dark figure of the cat create a space that feels familiar yet psychologically unstable. The scene appears ordinary at first glance, but the upward movement does not suggest arrival or resolution. Instead, the staircase functions like a repeated route that has gradually turned into an internal rhythm — a movement performed so many times that it begins to lose the sense of choice. The surrounding reds, greens, and deep blues compress the atmosphere, making the space feel emotionally dense and slightly claustrophobic despite its openness.

The yellow light of the window becomes the central point of attraction, carrying the promise of warmth, habit, and return. Yet the closer the image moves toward this refuge, the more ambiguous it becomes. The staircase seems to pull forward and restrain at the same time, while the cat remains a silent witness to this cyclical passage. For me, the work is about the moment when repetition slowly transforms into a condition of existence — when home remains a place of longing, but the path toward it begins to feel predetermined, enclosed within routine, memory, and emotional fatigue.
